CMS to provide users with new features and services to automate FedEx shipment processing from the US & Canada
Lorton, VA | CMS GlobalSoft, Inc. announced today, that after a very rigorous certification and testing process, their flagship product, CMS WorldLink has now been FSMS 10 certified. This new certification indicates that CMS WorldLink supports all of the latest FedEx technology offerings and meets FedEx’s high-quality standards. CMS WorldLink will now offer various new features including FedEx SmartPost and FedEx International Priority Direct Distribution (IPD).
FedEx SmartPost is a new service that offers an efficient and timely way to ship high volumes of low-weight packages to residential customers. FedEx will pick up, sort, line haul, track and deliver packages by leveraging the delivery network capabilities of the USPS and the Canada Post Corporation. As a result, transit time is reduced, minimizes handling and maximizes postal discounts.
FedEx IPD is an exciting new feature that allows a shipper to send multiple pieces from a single location in an origin country to multiple recipients in another country. Some of the benefits of FedEx IPD include lowering customs costs with consolidated clearance; reduce transit time and simplified packaging and documentation.
CMS GlobalSoft founder and CEO Wil Fekeci is pleased to expand the company’s existing portfolio saying "We are extremely pleased to announce that CMS WorldLink is one of the very few, and very elite Transportation Management Systems (TMS) in the world to be FSMS 10 certified in both the US and Canada. This very precise and thorough certification process guarantees that CMS continues to be an excellent TMS, as well as provides superlative carrier compliance and overall software excellence."
"The FedEx certification indicates the superiority of our software, in addition to the diligence and hard work of our staff, to pass the meticulous testing process," adds Richard Ortiz, Vice President of Operations, whose team spear-headed the end-to-end certification procedure.
The CMS staff had to take numerous steps in order to obtain this certification, one that many of our competitors have yet to obtain, such as label testing, function testing, internal testing and brand testing. In order to ensure carrier compliance for CMS WorldLink users, the CMS staff will have to undergo this certification process on an annual basis.
We really hope that our customers benefit greatly from our hard work.
