Wil's Corner
Monday, February 15, 2010 at 10:33AM Supply chain executives plates are fuller than ever. Every where you turn, there are lots of interesting trends and challenges evolving in our industry today. The green logistics topic continues to resurface, I've noted, as a trend that deserves more attention. Another observation as reported by Narendra Mulani of Logistics Management: more and more companies are placing a premium on shorter transport distances, and thus are choosing on-shore or near-shore locations for sourcing and manufacturing.
What are some of your observations? What trends are you noticing? What are your pains and challenges? I would appreciate learning more from others in our industry. Would be great to share ideas and support each other during what ARC Advisory Group, a leading research and advisory firm for manufacturing, energy, logistics and supply chain solutions, is reporting as increasingly challenging time for the Supply Chain Planning market.
Feel free to drop me a line via email or share your comments with us via our new Facebook page.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
